The findings reveal critical disconnects: executives believe sales relationships (34%) build trust, while scientists trust peer-reviewed content (42%) and independent sources (42%). Lead nurturing ranks as the least effective funnel stage, yet budget keeps flowing there. Trade shows deliver 61% effectiveness, the highest of any tactic, while over 40% of scientists say social media is "not applicable" at any buying stage.
